☞ How do hiatuses work?
To take a hiatus, please fill out the form below and post it as a comment to this page, adding Hiatus to the subject line of your comment. Remember to list all of the characters you play, as well as their usernames. Doing so will exempt you from the activity check for the month you've specified in your comment. If your situation changes and you decide you can make AC, you can rescind your hiatus by replying to your comment on this page (or just specify that you didn't use your hiatus while responding to the AC post).
☞ How often can I take a hiatus?
You can take a hiatus once every three months. If you take a strike one month, you cannot hiatus out of AC in the following month. Extenuating long-term issues will be tackled on a case-by-case basis, so if you're worried about not being able to meet AC over a multiple-month period, please contact the mods directly on the mod contact page.
☞ What happens to my character when I take a hiatus?
While your character is on hiatus, they are cocooned in a sticky spidersilk material. Their cocooned body may be located within their own residence or anywhere in Rhodos reasonably not in the way of foot traffic. When the hiatus ends, the cocoon splits open and they awaken. Struggling out of the cocoon is a sticky, unpleasant, exhausting business, and characters emerge naked and covered in slime. If anyone attempts to cut into or rip open a cocoon prior to the end of the hiatus, the character within begins to scream in agony as if it is their flesh that is being cut and torn. Once the cocoon is left alone, the screaming stops and the cocoon gently knits itself back together.

☞ How does dropping work?
To drop a character, please fill out the form below and post it as a comment to this page, adding Drop to the subject line of your comment. As there are different ways in which a character can be dropped, please fill out the form separately for each character you play, if you are dropping multiple characters at once. You can either paste multiple copies of the form into one comment, or post different comments from each individual character journal.
☞ What happens to my character when I drop?
This depends on the manner you choose for the drop. When filling out the form, you need to specify whether your character resolves their Manifestation or whether they are subsumed by it.
Characters who are swept in the Activity Check cycle are subsumed. This means that they have failed to overcome whatever underlying issues created the Manifestation, and they have gone to some subconscious realm or Hell even worse than this one.
If you think you might re-app your character it is highly recommended that they be subsumed. Subsumed characters may return without penalties in the next app cycle. They retain their memories and their Manifestation and may reclaim their housing, property and such.
Dropped characters who resolve their Manifestation are assumed to go back home or on to some pleasant afterlife. They have dealt with their issues and get to transcend the purgatory state of Rhodos. This makes for a lovely happy ending if you're done with the character or the game, but if you change your mind and re-app a character who dropped on this condition, the re-app process will be more stringent in regards to the Manifestation, regardless of whether the character takes the previous Manifestation or if you replace it with a new one.

I just wanted to note that this game's premise is so amazing and everything has been wonderful, but I apped at exactly the moment where I became so busy with something new (college) that I realized I wouldn't have the time to get as deeply involved in the game as I'd like with Kokomi, even if I could probably scrape by. I feel like this is the type of game that deserves thorough involvement, so I'm bowing out.

Sorry mods, the game premise is interesting but I found I couldn't really keep my motivation up. If I'm honest I think the rigmarole around the application killed my enthusiasm, even though I still managed to get in. Thanks though, and sorry it didn't work out!
