REGAINS
☞ How does the regains system work?
Each month you can earn points by submitting extra AC-length threads while completing AC. You can use these points to buy weapons, magical items or powers from home which were nerfed or removed in the application process. For more information on the mechanics of earning points, check the Activity page.
☞ How do I spend my points?
Please see the Prices section below to check pricing. You can request regains during Activity Check, in the same form as your AC comment.
☞ What happens to the items or powers I've bought back if I decide to drop and then reapp in future?
Any items or powers you regained by spending points will be permanently tied to your character, meaning you can reapp in future and your character will still have these items or powers. However, if you would like your character to return with a clean slate in terms of memories and regains, you can specify that in your reapp, and they will return to the game as if they had been newly apped.
☞ When can I apply for regains?
Regains and Activity Check will be open at the same time of the month every month, therefore regain requests will be unavailable during the rest of the month. However, you can ask clarifying questions at any time of the month on this page, so you know what you want to save up for.
☞ How do regains work on an IC level?
Your character will be receiving unprompted gifts from Polyskieroi. They have not asked Polyskieroi or any other character for the things you are requesting to buy with your points. Your character will wake up on the 5th of the month with their requested power or inhuman trait returned to them, and will find requested items somewhere inside their housing.
A number of items can be acquired by your character without having to spend points. If you're unsure whether an item would be free or cost points, please ask on this page. Otherwise, please use the following as a guideline for free items:
•Things that could be found in a very small hardware store: basic tools, wood for minor repairs. No power tools.
•Bikes and even scooters can be easily found around town. Other vehicles can be found and acquired when areas outside of the medieval town center are unlocked.
•Limited household chemicals: bleach, cleaning supplies, liquid soap. If your character knows how to make a bomb from soap and orange juice they are welcome to do so.
You do not have to run it by the mods to have your character acquire any free items. ICly, they will have acquired these items in the shops available in the tiny shops of the touristy town center. Specialty items, such as power tools, climbing equipment, or other things that would only be available in supermarkets, department stores, or large hardware stores, cannot be easily acquired at this time.

You may request absolutely anything. Want your character to gain some non-canon traits or abilities? Great! Anything we think would be game-breaking will be denied, but all other items, powers, etc. will be given a price in points. Polyskieroi reserves the right to add a monkey's paw clause to all of his gifts, but items given with a trick or a drawback will be appropriately discounted.
